Lisa Renée Falk earned her degree in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude with an emphasis in glass and textiles from San José State University.
After studying the techniques of printmaking and metalsmithing at Mission College, Lisa entered the glass blowing program at SJSU. In contrast to the freedom of printmaking, she learned glass requires perseverance and physical energy to create a desired form. Yet the very essence of glass inspired Lisa through its endless possibilities. As a member of the Glass Art Society, Lisa has attended several glass conferences including the Glass Fashion Show in Corning, New York where she modeled a dress she created with fiberglass screen and fused glass. After taking time off to raise her two children, Lisa has reemerged into the creative world, ready to explore and create.
"Develop an interest in life as you see it; in people, things, literature, music -- the world is so rich, simply throbbing with rich treasures, beautiful souls and interesting people. Forget yourself." -Henry Miller
